Over the past few years the need for sustainability has been made incredibly clear. Our community needs our charitable organizations and those organizations need the North Bay and Area Community Foundation. Our work with local donors and groups goes far beyond the bottom line. We have worked effectively and impactfully in ensuring our community has been, and continues to be supported in this time of crisis. This has been done with few resources. Sustainable funding takes time to build and we are well on our way with endowed funds and planned gifts. However, we recognize that we can only provide for our community if we, too, are sustainable. Because of this, we recognize the need for operational support until such time as our capital base can fully support our modest administration costs.
